Click here December 8, 2008 BC Hydro announces successful proposals in phase one of Bioenergy Call for Power VANCOUVER - BC Hydro has selected four proposals submitted in phase one of BC Hydro's Bioenergy Call for Power. "Bioenergy provides clean and reliable electricity year-round, so this is another step on the road to achieving electricity self-sufficiency by 2016," said Richard Neufeld, Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources. December 15, 2008 Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources LONG-TERM VISION FOR B.C.'S ELECTRICITY NEEDS VICTORIA - New terms of reference will guide the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) in looking at the long-term, province wide electricity transmission needs of British Columbia, Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Minister Richard Neufeld announced today. "These terms of reference will ensure that the Province's long-term transmission infrastructure needs, looking ahead 30 years, are fully examined" said Neufeld.
